Spending on Google Ads but can’t tell which clicks became jobs?

Start with an audit.

Google Ads management built and run to one measure: enquiries that turn into work, tracked from the click to the booked job. Everything else is noise.

The audit

One account, before and after.

A client’s ads account when I found it, and after I rebuilt it. Switch between the two.

Google Ads

Campaigns
Buying searches that had nothing to do with respraying.
Landing pages
A dated page-builder site. Every click to the homepage.
Tracking
Pointed at an analytics property the business did not control.

Measured to the enquiry

Most ad accounts are burning money quietly.

Set up once by someone who has since left. Broad keywords matching searches you never wanted. A landing page that is the homepage. Conversion tracking that counts page views. The monthly report shows clicks and impressions and never the number that matters: what did an enquiry cost, and did it become a job.

enquiries in the first week after going live

Counted by the client: WhatsApp messages, calls and quote forms. A per-channel split was not recorded.

Our old site was dated and our ads had been set up wrong by a previous marketer, burning money for months with nothing to show. Chris audited the lot, found exactly what was wrong, rebuilt the site into 28 pages with before and after sliders of our resprays, a colour picker so customers can see shades on a kitchen before they enquire, and pages for every town we cover.

Sometimes the honest answer is to stop.

Some markets are too expensive to win on paid search, and an honest answer early is worth more than another three months of spend. Ads earn their place when the cost per enquiry says so, and lose it when it does not.

What I build

Built to the enquiry, measured to the job.

I audit what exists, cut what is wasting spend, and rebuild around the searches that mean someone needs you now. Each ad group lands on a page written for it. Conversion tracking follows the enquiry through to your system so the report says cost per enquiry and cost per booked job. Then I manage it weekly, moving budget to what works and away from what does not.

  • Account audit and clean-up before any new spend
  • Tight keyword targeting with negatives maintained, so you pay for intent
  • Landing pages built for the ad, with every enquiry sent straight to your inbox
  • Conversion tracking to the enquiry and through to the outcome
  • Weekly management and a monthly report in plain English

How it works

Four steps. The audit first.

  1. 01

    I audit the account

Where the spend goes, what it buys, what is broken. Often the biggest win is switching things off.

  2. 02

    I rebuild the structure

Campaigns around intent, ads written for the search, pages built for the ad.

  3. 03

    I fix the measurement

Tracking that counts enquiries and follows them to the outcome. Without it, nothing else can be judged.

  4. 04

    I manage it weekly

Bids, budgets, negatives, new tests. The account gets sharper every week and the report says exactly what changed.

Asked before you did.

What you get back

You stop feeding a budget you cannot see the return on and start seeing what each enquiry cost.
