Boosting posts and getting likes, not sales?
The same phone, two ways to spend.
Boosting pays for attention, not sales. I run Facebook and Instagram ads the way a Facebook ads agency would, without the agency: aimed at people ready to buy, and sent to a page built to turn the click into an order.
Two ways to spend
Likes do not pay invoices.
The boost button is built to spend money easily. It finds people who like and scroll, not people ready to buy. The click, if there is one, lands on a busy homepage or a Facebook page with no clear next step. So the post gets reach, the owner gets a notification, and nothing sells.

A few whose Meta ads I run, and what they said.
Halved
cost per sale
Ads were set up wrong. After 3 weeks of testing angles and audiences, cost per sale halved.

Cannot rate Chris highly enough - he has gone above and beyond in helping us grow SENA Rituals. Optimising our SEO, improving all aspects of our website and meta ads. Super responsive and understands our problems almost before we do! Takes initiative and makes our business run smoothly.
Nearly 11x
return on ad spend in its first 5 days
Worked around limited pixel access from the ticket provider. With full access now, purchase ads use audiences I built over several years and returned nearly 11x their ad spend in the first 5 days.
★★★★★
We have worked with Chris for many years and he really knows his stuff, we listened to everything he said and recommended, and his strategies have been brilliant for our growth. We went for all the extras over time and have now scaled our event business from 0-5000 tickets sold in only 3 years. Can’t recommend enough.
What I build
Ads that end in a sale.
I set up campaigns with sales as the goal, not engagement. The audience is people likely to buy what you sell. The creative uses your real products and your real work. Every ad sends people to a page that matches what the ad promised, with one clear way to buy, so the money is spent on reaching a customer rather than decorating a feed.
- Campaigns set up for sales, not likes or reach
- Audiences built around the people who buy from you
- Ad creative made from your real products and your real reviews
- A product page that matches the ad and asks for one thing
- Plain-English reporting on spend and the sales that came in
How it works
Four steps. Spend watched from day one.
01
I look at what has run
What you have boosted or run before, what it cost and what came of it. That shapes what not to repeat.
02
I build the campaign
Audience, creative and a product page that matches the ad, built together rather than bolted on.
03
I launch and watch
Spend is watched closely in the first weeks, and ads that are not bringing sales are cut.
04
I report plainly
What you spent and what sold, in words you do not need a glossary for.
Asked before you did.

Nothing, if you want reach. Boosting optimises for people who engage with posts, which is not the same as people who buy. For sales, a proper campaign with a sales goal and a matching product page does the job boosting cannot.
You deal with me, the person running the ads, not an account manager passing notes to a junior. And because I build websites too, the page the ad sends people to is built for the ad instead of being whatever page already existed.
Enough to learn from, and no more until it is working. I will recommend a starting budget based on what you sell and who buys it, and I only scale what brings in sales.
Yes. Facebook and Instagram ads are run from the same place, and I place them where your customers actually are.
Yes. It stays yours, and so does everything built in it. If you leave, the account and its history leave with you.
They do different jobs. Google Ads catches people already searching for what you sell. Facebook and Instagram reach people who are not searching yet, and show them the product before they go looking. I will tell you which fits yours.
Restricted Forest: worked around limited pixel access from the ticket provider. With full access now, purchase ads use audiences I built over several years and returned nearly 11x their ad spend in the first 5 days. SENA Rituals: ads were set up wrong. After 3 weeks of testing angles and audiences, cost per sale halved.
What you get back
You stop pressing boost and hoping, and the ads are built around the sales you actually want.
What did the last boost sell?
Tell me what you have run and what it cost. I will tell you honestly what a proper campaign would do differently.
